Another one of TenPoint crossbows; the TenPoint Titan M1. TenPoint did a complete makeover of probably their best-selling crossbow ever, the TenPoint Titan SS.
For the people that do not know: TenPoint is an American owned and operated crossbow company that manufactures their crossbows in Mogadore, Ohio. TenPoint also owns Wicked Ridge crossbows. Wicked Ridge sells high-quality crossbows at a more affordable price than TenPoint.
TenPoint displayed a beautiful lineup of their crossbows for the 2020 hunting season. They released the Vapor RS470, Vengent S440, Viper S400 and the Titan M1. Today we’ll be reviewing the Titan M1.
The Titan SS crossbow from TenPoint is one of the finest crossbows we’ve ever got to shoot. The TenPoint Titan SS is a very accurate crossbow that is also easy to handle. Where other brands choose to make crossbows as short as possible, TenPoint keeps it to longer models. As a result, the arrow is driven longer and guided longer, making these crossbows more accurate than the very short models. Nevertheless, these crossbows are very easy to handle and lightweight.
We’re really excited to finally test the Titan M1. The saying is “never change a winning team”, but TenPoint did it anyways. Is the Titan M1 even better than the Titan SS?

TenPoint Titan M1 Crossbow Features

Size and Weight
The Titan M1 is the lightest crossbow from TenPoint’s 2020 lineup. This forward-draw crossbow only weighs 6.4 pounds! “The Titan M1 is constructed with CNC-machined aircraft-grade aluminum for lightweight durability.”
It’s not their most compact though. The Titan M1 comes in at 14 inches wide uncocked and 9 inches wide when cocked and has a total length of 32.5 inches. The Viper S400 (11”/7.2”) and the Vengent S440 (11”/5.8”) are TenPoint’s most compact crossbows.
With a power Stroke of 14 inches, the Titan M1 features VX-5 Inverted cams that elongates the power stroke and increases rotation.
Speed and Arrows
TenPoint advertises the Titan M1 as a 370 FPS crossbow, but the arrows that TenPoint deliver with the crossbow only reach speeds of 360 FPS. It’s possible to use 3 different kinds of arrows on this crossbow, like with most TenPoint crossbows.
If you get the Titan M1, you’ll most likely receive a three-pack of the Pro Elite 400 carbon arrows. These arrows are 400-grains and reach speeds at up to 360 FPS with a kinetic energy of 115 FP KE.
For better accuracy TenPoint made the Pro Elite carbon arrows with a Alpha-Nock. Alpha Nock Technology features a deep groove for the bow string that ensures better accuracy and should result in less string wear.
You can separately buy “lighted” nocks. You can find these lighted nocks much easier in the dark.
Below is a table of the different kinds of arrows you can buy for the Titan M1. We recommend to stick with the Pro Elite 400 carbon arrows, they’re a bit heavier which results in more kinetic energy and deeper penetration.

Scope
TenPoint equipped the Titan M1 with their own TenPoint 3x Pro-View 3 Scope. This scope is mounted on a machined aluminum 7/8-inch Fixed Dovetail Mount and features 3 cross hairs and four dots calibrated for 20-50 yards with 10 yards increments. You can choose between the non-illuminated black dots or one of two rheostat controlled illuminated, red or green colored dots.
You’ll probably have to adjust the scope a bit before it’s dead-accurate. We had to adjust the scope just slightly and it shot with amazing accuracy.
Assembling and Disassembling
Unlike most of TenPoint’s crossbows, the Titan M1 you’ll have to assemble yourself. It’s fairly quick and easy to do. TenPoint recommends to assemble the limbs on the stock first, we recommend to install all the parts on the limbs first and then slide the limbs on the stock. It’s much easier to work with just the limbs and accessories than the complete crossbow.
Besides that, you just need to follow the instructions that TenPoint delivers with the package. It shouldn’t take you more than 10 minutes to fully assemble the Titan M1.
Basically, you’ll have to assemble the foot-stirrup and quiver onto the limbs and attach the limbs to the stock. The scope is already installed and sighted in by TenPoint.
Cocking
You’ll automatically get a rope sled to cock the Titan M1 but you can also get the ACUdraw for only $50 more on Amazon. Usually buying the ACUdraw separately can cost you up to $250 more on TenPoint’s website or on Amazon for around $225.
Getting the ACUdraw will save you from a lot of hard work. The ACUdraw cocking device reduces the cocking effort to about 5 pounds! It’s also one of the best and safest ways to cock your crossbow.
Shooting and Trigger
TenPoint equipped the Titan M1 with the T5 Ambidextrous Trigger. This trigger is very smooth pulling and breaks at around 3.5 pounds. The T5 trigger has 50% less creep than TenPoint’s previous triggers. This trigger also features the TenPoint Auto-engaging safety/Dry-Fire-Inhibitor.
Shooting the Titan M1 is an amazing thrill. It’s a very compact crossbow that can reach amazing speeds of 370 feet per second and is deadly accurate.
We did a speed test with the Titan M1 and used the Pro Elite 400 carbon arrows that TenPoint included with the package. We reached speeds of around 350 feet per second, just a bit slower than what TenPoint says.
It’s also a very accurate crossbow. After shooting 3 times we got the scope sighted in perfectly and we managed to get really tight groups. You’ll destroy arrows if you aim at the exact same spot…

TenPoint did an amazing job at making this a premium crossbow for not a lot of money. The TenPoint Titan M1 has some amazing features.
The match-grade T5 Trigger and ACUdraw are features you just don’t see on other crossbows in this price-range. TenPoint’s 3x Pro-View 3 scope is also a very good scope that they usually sell separately for $199.99 on their website.
