The TenPoint Siege RS410 is the third and final crossbow of TenPoint’s 2021 lineup. TenPoint introduced the Siege RS410 as the quietest most compact crossbow on the market.

This year TenPoint really focused on serving all types of crossbow hunters with compact, stealthy, fast, accurate and high-tech crossbows! Their budget-brand Wicked Ridge also offers some amazing crossbows for the new hunting season and at a much cheaper price than TenPoint crossbows.

TenPoint ships the Siege RS410 with a “Ready-to-Hunt” package and includes: ACUslide™ cocking and de-cocking system, RangeMaster PRO™ Variable Speed Scope, 6-pack of EVO-X 16″ CenterPunch™ Premium Carbon Crossbow Arrows (.001” straightness, 400-grains), 6-arrow Tech Quiver, Integrated String Stop System and an Instruction/Owner’s manual.

Available in Veil Alpine or Graphite Gray finishes.

First Impressions

TenPoint ships the Siege RS410 completely assembled. You do have to make sure the RangeMaster Pro scope is properly sighted in before you take it out for a hunt!

Just like the TenPoint Havoc RS440, the TenPoint Siege RS410 is a very compact reverse-draw crossbow. In fact, it has exactly the same design as the Havoc RS440.

TenPoint Siege RS410 Review - Quiet, Compact and Fast Crossbow 1

To reduce the noise of the string, TenPoint installed an integrated string-stop system at the end of the crossbow. Hopefully, the Siege RS410 is as quiet as TenPoint claims. We’ll find out in the performance test!

Design and Durability

Measuring just 26.5 inches in length, 12.3 inches uncocked and only 7.5 inches cocked, it’s a very compact crossbow. Only the Ravin R26 is more compact than the TenPoint Siege RS410.

Without accessories this crossbow already weighs 7.5 pounds, after installing the scope and 6-arrow tech quiver it weighs around 9 pounds.

With a power stroke of 13.5 inches and a draw weight of 220 pounds, the Siege RS410 fires arrows at 410 feet per second. It’s exactly the same design as the Havoc RS440, but the limbs are under a lot less stress because the draw weight is only 220 pounds instead of the 270 pounds draw weigh of the Havoc RS440. This obviously will result in less sound and vibrations being generated by the limbs.

Optics

TenPoint mounted the RangeMaster Pro Scope on the Siege RS410. It’s a multi-coated, 1.5 – 5x magnification, illuminated scope that is speed-rated for crossbows up to 425 feet per second and has aiming points at up to 60 yards.

These aiming points consist of 3 crosshairs and 5 circles calibrated for 20-60 yards in 10-yard increments. It’s a great scope from dusk till dawn.

We found that the illuminated reticle is actually quite bright during low-light conditions. It’s best to have used the battery for a couple of hours as this will reduce the strength of the battery and the illuminated reticle is then perfect for low-light conditions.

Sighting in the RangeMaster Pro Scope

As the RangeMaster Pro is a variable-power style drop-compensating scope, TenPoint already pre-sighted the Siege RS410 at 20-yards for the 410 feet per second this crossbow generates. We always recommend taking your newly bought crossbow out to the range for some practice shooting before you take it out on a hunt.

Speed Setting RangeMaster Pro Scope

As you can see in the picture, make sure to adjust it to the right speed and it will probably take a bit of dialing-in before you have it dead-center. It’s one of the easiest scopes to sight-in.

Noise Reducing Features

TenPoint advertises the Siege RS410 as “ the quietest most compact crossbow ever.” By using the Havoc RS440’s design and lowering the draw-weight by 50 pounds, the limbs generate a lot less sound and vibrations. An integrated string stop system catches the string at the end of the barrel and the “snapping” sound the string usually makes is a lot less.

Cocking

TenPoint installed their latest ACUslide safe cocking and de-cocking system on the Siege RS410. TenPoint did not upgrade the ACU crank cocking device this year, but it’s still the best crank cocking system for a crossbow.

The ACUslide will reduce the cocking effort to just 5 pounds. It’s very safe and easy to use. You can safely let go of the crank mid-draw and the crank will remain in its position.

Performance

It’s time to take the TenPoint Siege RS410 out to the range for some practice shooting and performance testing!

TenPoint pre-sighted and pre-installed the Siege RS410 before they ship them out, so we didn’t have to assemble it. Our crossbow was also perfectly sighted in.

The Siege RS410 also has the S1 trigger. It’s a very smooth, 2-stage, zero-creep trigger. One of the best on the market!

For our speed test we’ll always use the arrows that are included with the package. TenPoint ships a 6-pack of EVO-X 16-inch carbon arrows. These arrows have a weight of 400 grains and are inspected for straightness to within .001-inch and each package is weight-grain matched within 1-grain per arrow. Our weight-scale basically registered the same weight for each of the 6 arrows, which is really good.

With a target at a 50-yard distance, we managed to get a group of <1.5 inches and an average speed of 409 feet per second! The Siege RS410 is also a very quiet crossbow!

Recommended Accessories

Arrows & Broadheads

TenPoint requires the use of Alpha-Nocks with the Siege RS410. If you do not use Alpha-Nocks, your warranty will void! Because of this, we can only recommend TenPoint’s official EVO-X 16-inch CenterPunch Premium Carbon Crossbow Arrows. If you’re an experienced crossbow user, you can buy some Alpha-Nocks and install them on your preferred arrows.

With our delivery of the Siege RS410, we also got TenPoint’s EVO-X Montec Fixed Blade broadheads. Of course we had to test these broadheads and we really like them. We can definitely recommend the EVO-X Montec fixed blade broadheads in addition to the TenPoint EVO-X CenterPunch broadheads and the RAGE Crossbow X broadheads.

Storage and Transportation

TenPoint created the HALO Bowpack, the first hunting back pack that can store crossbows, for their compact reverse-draw crossbows lineup. We always recommend to store it in a case that’s recommended by the manufacturer. We also managed to fit the Siege RS410 in the TenPoint STAG hard-case with some extra padding.

“Designed for optimal protection and ease of transport, the water-resistant bowpack features a padded exterior shell constructed from Brushed Tricot, and a padded interior with two hook and loop straps to secure the crossbow during travel. The rigid frame features robust back support, as well as a pocketed waist strap and sternum strap for ultimate carrying comfort.”
